Rite-Edge Sponsors Garden Project at Deen City Farm

Deen city farm based in Merton Abbey London is an educational resource to show the local community the basics of a working farm. The farm is run by a group of volunteers allowing young and old to be a part of a rural experience, and to learn at first hand how to look after animals and plants.
The farm is currently undertaking a ‘Growing Gardens’ project, sponsored by BBC Children in Need which is aimed at children, disabled people and the local community. The garden also supports volunteers many of whom have learning difficulties. Louisa Loakes (growing gardens project coordinator) approached Rite-Edge to source 30 meters of edging to edge the circumference of a circular maze contained within the Garden.
‘I have chosen to do a maze due to their strong educational and discovery value along with the physical and mental challenges mazes provide, they are also great fun for the kids! (Louisa Loakes).
‘We were happy to donate the rite-edge to Deen city farm and hope that the garden provides the volunteers and visitors to the farm with many hours of enjoyment. We look forward to seeing the garden project once it’s finished’ (Simon Chrismas Marketing Manager)
